Disinformation I is an original oil on canvas painting from Bartosz Beda’s Disinformation series. The composition distorts and fragments its source imagery, creating a tension between what is seen and what is understood. Layers of paint are built up and scraped back, allowing ghostly traces of earlier marks to surface through the final image.

The painting reflects on the way images circulate and mutate in contemporary media, where every reproduction carries a residue of manipulation.
