Description
Two desert forms dissolve into light in “Mirage 02.” The inner panel holds the pair in vivid green against a pale ground, while the surrounding canvas is rubbed back to near-black, with a thin blue border holding the two zones apart. The contrast is deliberate: memory bright at the center, night closing in around it. The mark making shifts between the zones. Inside, the brush moves fast and wet. Outside, Beda scratches through dark paint to find lighter color underneath, then seals it and scratches again. Original oil on canvas, 11×14 inches (28×36 cm), 2026.
