Description
“Mirage 08” is the luminous one. Two yuccas bleach toward white-green, their fronds combed in fine radiating strokes until they look backlit, almost x-rayed. Below them, small yellow-green dabs scatter across the dark like fireflies or sparks. The light here is remembered, not observed — the afterimage of desert plants seen at night and carried into the studio. Beda layers thin bright strokes over dark, then scratches the dark back up through them. Original oil on canvas, 16×12 inches (41×31 cm), 2026. Signed, with certificate of authenticity.
