Description
In Owing to the Absence 24, the figure arrives differently — suspended, caught in a moment of suspension between standing and falling. Ink gathers in the torso and limbs with a heavy, deliberate touch, while the surrounding paper remains starkly empty, as if the world around the figure had been washed away. The contrast gives the work its power: a solitary presence asserting itself against a void. At 105×75 cm, the drawing meets the viewer at near life scale, making the encounter intimate and unsettling.
