Description
Owing to the Absence 6 depicts a full-length figure standing against a field of cascading ink streaks. The body is suggested with spare, economical strokes — a torso, limbs, the tilt of a head — while the vertical drips around it create a sense of time passing, of erosion and endurance.
Executed in ink on paper in 2022–23, 77 × 56 cm, this piece continues the series’ inquiry into presence: the figure stands firm even as its outlines waver and run.
