Description
Owing to the Absence 25 twists its subject into something between a body and a weather system. The ink moves in spiraling, turbulent passages that suggest a figure turning inward, folding memory into muscle. Large as it is — 105×75 cm — the work never feels sprawling; every gesture converges on a single, knotted intensity. It is a portrait of interior weather, drawn at the scale of a confrontation. Viewers familiar with Beda’s figurative language will recognize the hand: unsparing, lyrical, and unwilling to look away.
