Description

Triggers 04 (2020) is an original 38 x 28 cm (15 x 11 in) work on paper from Bartosz Beda’s Triggers series, made with acrylic, charcoal and gesso. Passages are erased and redrawn, leaving ghosts of earlier gestures beneath the final marks — the surface has a restless, archaeological quality.

Between the veils of gesso and the blunt force of charcoal, the painting holds a fragile balance. It is a work about memory and impulse, built layer by layer in the studio.
