Description
Owing to the Absence 15 belongs to the core of the series, its 76×56 cm sheet carrying some of the most assured ink work of 2022–23. Black washes settle into a brooding, almost nocturnal field, from which a figure seems to rise — or into which it is sinking. The drawing’s confidence lies in its refusal to resolve: every reading the viewer offers, the ink quietly withdraws. This piece found its collector; it remains in the catalogue as a record of the series’ development.
